Carroll County Winners of the 2016-17 Young Authors’ Contest

Every year, the State of Maryland International Reading Council (SoMIRAC) sponsors a Young Authors’ Contest.  The contest is offered to any second through twelfth grade student.  Students entering the contest have an opportunity to submit an original poem or short story....

CCCTC students competed in their @SkillsUSA regional competition

Last weekend the CCCTC Heavy Equipment & Truck Technology students competed in their @SkillsUSA regional competition.  Supporting the contest were  representatives from Finch Services, Alban Caterpillar, Johnson and Towers, Shipley Transportation, and CCCTC. All of the competitors performed very well and we are proud that 3 students from CCCTC are moving on to the State Level. Congratulations to Frankie Forman (1st place), Lane Logue-Ruckman (2nd place) and Patrick McCardell (3rd place)....

CCCTC Carpentry seniors designed and constructed four 8' X 12' poolside Cabanas as part of their Student Run Manufacturing Enterprise regiment of graduation requirements. The students have elected, for a fifth consecutive year, to donate the proceeds of the sale of one of the structures ($1800.00 value) to the SkillsUSA Boosters. The money will be used to send our CCCTC SkillsUSA state champions to the national competition. We are extremely proud of our philanthropic heritage....
