Board Work Session – FY20 Operating Budget

The Board of Education of Carroll County will hold a work session on the FY20 Operating Budget on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. in the Charles I. Ecker Boardroom at the Board of Education offices, located at 125 North Court Street, Westminster. The public is encouraged to attend. There will be no time for citizen participation at this meeting.

Health Department Seeks Help to Find Dog

Sykesville, MD (April 16, 2019) – The Carroll County Health Department is asking area residents for help in finding a dog that bit a person on Friday, April 12th.  The incident happened between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Main Street in Sykesville by the train tracks at the border of Howard County.

The dog was described as being a Rottweiler with a pink collar.  According to the Health Department, it is likely that the victim of the attack will be treated with a series of post-exposure rabies shots if the dog has not been found and verified to be in good health by the morning of April 22nd.
