The Carroll County Health Department is asking area residents for help in finding a dog that bit a person on Monday, May 7th around 5:00 PM at the intersection of Roth Avenue and Baumgardner Avenue in Taneytown.

The dog was described as having a small to medium build, pointy ears and straight short brown fur.  It was being walked along with two other similar-sized dogs.  According to the Health Department, it is likely that the victim of the attack will be treated with a series of post-exposure rabies shots if the dog has not been found and verified to be in good health by the morning of May 17th

If you have any information that may help locate this dog or its owner, please contact the Carroll County Health Department at (410) 876-1884 or the Carroll County Humane Society at (410) 848-4810.
