Integrace, a forward-thinking non-profit organization that strives to ignite in all people the passion for meaningful living, announces that two of its communities – Fairhaven in Sykesville, Md. and Bayleigh Chase in Easton, Md. - have made U.S. News & World Report’s list of Best Nursing Homes for 2017-2018. Both communities earned the publication’s highest “Top Performance” ranking, and were just two of 38 facilities in Maryland to earn the “U.S. News Best Nursing Home” designation.

The full list of the 2017-2018 Best Nursing Homes is available at U.S. News & World Report’s Nursing Home Finder ( To create this resource, U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 homes nationwide.

Since its inception in 2009, the U.S. News nursing home ratings have relied on data from Nursing Home Compare, a program run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that sets and enforces standards for nursing homes. CMS assigns an overall rating of one to five stars to nursing homes according to their performance in three areas – state-conducted health inspections, nurse staffing and medical quality measures. Homes also receive CMS star ratings in each area. “Top Performing” nursing homes earned an overall rating of four and a half or above and qualify as a U.S. News Best Nursing Home.
