Shiloh Pottery Christmas Studio Show and Sale

Shiloh Pottery, Hampstead, Maryland, will be hosting its annual Christmas Studio Show and Sale on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 10 AM to 5 PM each day. The event is free and open to the public. Shiloh Pottery is located approximately 1 mile west of Hampstead, Maryland in Carroll County. Directions are available on the Shiloh Pottery website:

Featured at the event will be functional stoneware pottery by potter Ken Hankins. Ken has been making pottery in his Carroll County studio for nearly 40 years. He is adjunct professor of ceramics at McDaniel College. There will be crafts demonstrations by local artists, including Nicole Diem, Century High School art teacher (Raku pottery firing) and Albin Drzewianowksi, Carroll County Farm Museum blacksmith (Repoussé).  Current and former Garrison Forest School teachers will be presenting their work for the first time at Shiloh Pottery: Michele Shepherd, fine jewelry; Kim Marlor, sea glass jewelry and Micul Anne Morse, festive holiday jewelry.

Shiloh Pottery students will be demonstrating throwing on the potter’s wheel.

In addition to the pottery, Shiloh Pottery is also a farm. Farm animals will be on exhibit, including sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens, peafowl, and others.
