For the seventh year in a row, Stephen Hirsch was the Highest Fundraising Individual. Mr. Hirsch raised
a total of $1,120, and will also receive a custom award.
The 2018 Highest Fundraising Team was NWSB Bank. Two walkers on the team raised $670, and will
be given a custom award recognizing their success.
Janice A. Kispert, CEO of RCIS, stated, “We are honored and humbled by the outpouring of sincere
enthusiasm from the men, women, and businesses in our community. After the tenth year of hosting this
walk in Carroll County, it is encouraging to see our community continue to be responsive by calling
attention to the silent epidemic of rape and sexual violence in our society.”
Each year, an ever-increasing number of men, women, and their families join “Walk a Mile in Her
Shoes®: The International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence.” Walk a Mile
in Her Shoes® is a fun opportunity to educate the community about a very serious subject and to rally
together by taking action to prevent sexual violence. For more information about Carroll County’s event,

RCIS is a private, non-profit agency serving Carroll County, Maryland, since 1978. RCIS provides free
counseling and support services to victims of sexual violence and their families. RCIS also offers prevention
education programs and professional training in order to eliminate sexual violence through education and
