2017 Philanthropists of the Year

The Community Foundation of Carroll County is proud to announce the winners of the 2017 Philanthropists of the Year. This is the 12th year of the Philanthropists of the Year Program, which was created to showcase the wonderful giving spirit of Carroll County, past, present and future.

Sargent Major Thomas B. Beyard of Westminster, the highest ranking noncommissioned officer in the MD National Guard, will receive the award in the Individual Category. The Boys and Girls Club of Westminster has been selected as the Non Profit of the Year, Quantum Internet and owners Johanna & William Brown of Hampstead, is the Business of the Year. Lauren Jenne of Westminster High School is the Youth of the Year. Finally, the Family of the Year award will be presented to Josh and Matt Kohn, owners of Kohn Creative. The awards, created especially for this event by local artist Nick Vincent (Nathan’s Fordge Studio) will be presented on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at a 7 A.M. breakfast catered by and held at Martin’s Westminster 140 Village Shopping Center, 505 Jermor Ln., Westminster, MD 21157.
