The Carroll County Circle of Caring Homelessness Board will hold a Town Hall Forum called “Exploring Homelessness in Carroll County”, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Westminster and Thursday, November 17, 2016 at McDaniel College.

The public is invited to join in this open dialogue, which will feature video excerpts from the “Homeless Life Story Collection Project” and will be moderated by Rev. Marty Kuchma, Pastor at St. Paul’s UCC, located at Bond and Green Streets. There will be 3 open sessions - 9am2pm and 6pm– on November 15, which is also the first day that the Cold Weather Shelter opens for the season (operated by Human Services Programs of Carroll County, Inc.). The Circle of Caring, comprised of many non-profit, government and human service organizations, is sponsoring this event to promote awareness and civic engagement in homelessness prevention and intervention efforts in this region. Representatives from the Circle of Caring will be available to answer questions and facilitate involvement and community response to homelessness as a result of these conversations.

All Carroll County residents are encouraged to participate in this free event, which coincides with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. This is the first in a series of Town Hall Forums on this topic that are being planned over the next several months in various parts of Carroll County.
