The Carroll County Board of Commissioners is requesting that individuals with an interest in the future potential of the “last-mile” fiber optic infrastructure development in the county apply to serve on a newly formed Fiber Development Committee. The committee’s charge is to develop a Fiber Development Business Plan in cooperation with county staff to determine the next steps to fully realize the Carroll Broadband Network infrastructure investment.

Individuals will be asked to meet an average of two times a month over the next few months in a workgroup to provide input and direction on a draft Fiber Development Business Plan. The meetings will be held in Westminster at the county office building.

If you are interested in applying to be considered on the Fiber Development Committee, please submit an online application by July 6, 2015. A resume may be submitted along with the application. Committee work is expected to begin mid-July. If you have questions about the Carroll Broadband Network or the Fiber Development Committee please call Mark Ripper at 410-386-2056.
