Water Meter Vault Installation Work Continues
Westminster, MD
03/11/2015 11:59 AM
Beginning Monday, March 23, 2015, the Carroll County Bureau of Utilities will move to Georgetown Boulevard to continue the installation of curbside water meter vaults
throughout Sykesville.

Construction for these meter vaults is expected to continue through the spring of 2015. Other locations will be announced as work commences.

Residents can expect water service to be temporarily shut down between 8 am and 3 pm Monday through Friday, excluding any holidays, on the affected streets during the relocation process. Bureau of Utilities personnel will put notices on doors as a reminder several days prior to start of construction as they move from one street to the next.

When service is restored residents may experience cloudy water lasting up to an hour. Turning the cold water tap on and running water for several minutes will clear the lines. It is advisable to refrain from using high water volume appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc., during periods of cloudy water or low pressure.
